PCクラスタコンソーシアム（PCCC）では、2020年7月に新たな運営方針を策定いたしました。これまでに培ったコミュニティとその実績を生かし、PCクラスタ技術を基にした高性能並列システムを対象に、クラウドなどの先進的なHPCクラスタ利用技術や、AIやビッグデータ利用などのHPCクラスタを基盤とする関連情報技術の普及と市場育成に貢献していきます。
第20回を数える「PCクラスタシンポジウム」は、これからの並列高性能システムの動向に焦点を当て、テーマを「HPCシステム最前線」として開催いたします。初日は、恒例のPCクラスタプラットフォーム最新動向および本コンソーシアム会員企業からの発表を行います。２日目は、最新のHPCシステムの動向に関する講演として、米国インテル社のDr. Robert W. Wisniewski、欧州からEPI（European Processor Initiative）のDr. Jean-Marc DENIS、Preferred Networksの平木敬様、東北大学の滝沢寛之様、東京大学／理化学研究所の近藤正章様による5つの講演を行います。最後に、「次世代先端的計算基盤のあり方を考える」（仮題）をテーマにパネル討議を開催します。
今回はオンラインでの開催となり、会員展示もオンラインにて行っていきます。多くの皆さまのご参加をお待ちしています。
The PC Cluster Consortium (PCCC) has made renewal of strategic plan for promoting new PC cluster technologies in July 2020. By taking advantage of the community and its outcome we made so far, for the technologies of high performance parallel systems using the PC cluster technologies, we are contributing to the advanced utilization technology of HPC systems such as cloud and the dissemination and market development of information technologies related to the HPC cluster such as AI and big data processing.
The 20th PC Cluster Symposium will focus on the future trends of parallel high-performance systems with the theme of "Forefront of advanced HPC Systems". On the first day, the members of this consortium will present their recent products with talks on the latest trends of the PC cluster platform as in the past symposiums. On the second day, we will invite Dr. Robert W. Wisniewski of Intel Corporation in the United States, Dr. Jean-Marc DENIS of EPI (European Processor Initiative) from Europe, Prof. Kei Hiraki of Preferred Networks, Prof. Hiroyuki Takizawa of Tohoku University, Prof. Masaaki Kondo of the University of Tokyo / RIKEN as invited speakers. A panel discussion will be held on the theme of "What will be the next-generation advanced computing platform" (tentative title).
The PC cluster symposium of this year will be held online, and the member’s exhibitions will also be held online. We look forward to your participation.
