NAME
scoutd - scout daemon process for invoking remote process

SYNOPSIS
scoutd [-g] hostgroup scoutd -f file

DESCRIPTION
scoutd is a daemon process for scout to spawn remote processes on cluster hosts. scoutd only accpets the connections from specific hosts. The hosts can be specified by host(s) or hostgroup(s) in the same way as the scorehosts accepts.

Or, if a file which contains a list of hostnames is specified with the -f options, then scoutd accepts the connection from the hosts listsed in the file. The file format is the same as the /etc/hosts.equiv file. However, scoutd ignores hostgroup(s) in the /etc/hosts.equiv file.

To invoke arbitrary user process, scoutd must have root permission.
