[SCore-users] Compiling OpenPBS

I am trying to compile OpenPBS.

When I follow the instructions and type smake, I get an error saying
that the Compiler is misconfigured and that the problem needs to be
corrected.

If I insert LDFLAGS="-Bstatic" at line 665 of the configure script
in the openpbs/src directory everything seems to compile correctly.

I know that placing such a line in the Configure script is not a good
idea to do but I cannot find the correct place to put it. Can someone
please help?
