At first PM/ethernet can use on new host.
    % rpminit newhost ethernet
If any message is outputed, please look at this message.

Please test point to point test about new host.
To get hostnumber, Please look at pm-ethernet config file.
Fpr example:
    0	00:00:00:00:00:00 oldhost1
    1	00:00:00:00:00:01 oldhost2
    2	00:00:00:00:00:02 newhost
The host number of newhost is 2.
And please run pmtest on newhost:
    % rpmtest newhost ethernet -reply
And ping from oldhost to newhost (host number 2).
    % rpmtest oldhost1 ethernet -dest 2 -ping
    % rpmtest oldhost2 ethernet -dest 2 -ping
