Call for Papers
150 words abstract deadline on March 5 (Fri)
Paper submission deadline on March 19 (Fri)
In recent years, PC clusters have been installed at computer centers,
and used for many applications. Many of these PC clusters, from small to
medium to large scale, use the Myrinet network, which is used in more
than 1/3 of the TOP500 supercomputers. For example, some Japanese
research institutes have installed large scale clusters, e.g., more than
1,024 processors connected by Myrinet, after their several year
experiences on middle range PC clusters. Those large scale clusters will
be operated in the beginning of 2004.
This is the good opportunity to bring together cluster computing
researchers, developers, users, technical staffs, and computer vendor
engineers in order to share their experiences using PC clusters with
Myrinet networks, present the state of the art in cluster computing
technologies, and discuss the further open issues.
This workshop will focus on the following topics:
* experiences on:
o cluster management tools
o cluster applications and performances
o cluster scheduling tools
o cluster file systems
o large-scale cluster
* state of the art cluster computing technologies:
o communication libraries and scalability issues
o file systems and parallel I/O
o scheduling and load balancing
o programming models, languages, tools, and environments
o resource management tools
o grid-enabled cluster software
Schedule:
March 5 (Fri): 150 words abstract deadline
March 19 (Fri): Paper submission deadline
April 5 (Mon): Acceptance notification
May 7 (Fri): Camera ready deadline
Submission:
Please submit papers of no more than 8 pages. More information about the
paper format appears in http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm.
