No patch is required for Intel e1000 driver in order to use PM/Ethernet.

However, if you have a performance problem especially RTT and bandwidth.
Use RxIntDelay=0 option in /etc/modules.conf. 

The rpmtest -ping (or -burst) program will help you.

If you have any problmes about the driver, please let us know. 

PS: The next SCore release will include the e1000 driver.
