Your problem is rather common and there is of course a work around.
Score is not exclusive. You may install in addition to SCore also a normal non
optimized mpich (using TCP over ethernet or tcp over Myrinet) and run your
application. In addition you should make sure that the nodes needed for your
application will not be allocated by other SCore jobs.
