msgblock [OPTIONS] -group HOSTGROUP COMMAND
The msgb program is to display the locking status of compute hosts specified with the HOSTGROUP argument while the execution of the Linux COMMAND. Trying to lock the already locked host(s) results in an error and no COMMAND is executed. When the COMMAND terminates, then the locked hosts will be freed.
If the -n option followed by a natural number N is specified, then the msgblock command try to find the N contiguous hosts in the host set. In this case, if the -s option is also specified, then the resulting host set may be scattered (non-contiguous).
When the -file option followed by a filename is specified, a file having the filename will be created and the locked hostnames are listed in the file, and then the COMMAND is executed. The created file will be removed When the COMMAND terminates. Int his case, when the -core option followed by a natural number is specified, then the filenames in the created file will be suffixed by a colon (:) symbol and the number.
Number of hosts to be locked
When specified, the msgblock periodically tries to lock until it succeeds.
When specified, the locked hosts may be non-contiguous region.
The locked hosts is output to the specified file.
With the -file option, the listed hostnames are suffixed by a colon (:) symbol and the specified number.
