PM/Infniband for Fujitsu HCA Configuration File Format

DESCRIPTION

Each line of the PM/Infiniband-FJ configuration file specifies mapping from node number to hostname and Destination Local ID (DLID).
A single '#' character indicates that the rest of the line is a comment, and to be ignored.

• Notation of a node
  

  NodeNumber     Hostname    Destination Local ID (DLID)  

  NodeNumber

  Node number of PM/Infiniband FJ. An integer starting from zero.
  This number doesn't have to be the same as the node number of this host on another PM network interface.

  Hostname

  Host name of the host. This name should be exactly the same as the name which the hostname command returns. PM/Infiniband FJ itself doesn't depend on this constraint, thus, the pmtest command doesn't detect a problem about this, but upper-level software depends on this.

  Destination Local ID (DLID)

  Destination Local ID (DLID) of the host. An example of the syntax is 001f(4 digits of Hex). DlID is provided by Subnet Manager of Infniband or

  Example:

  0 xxx.yyy.xxx 001f

• Notation of existsm option
  

  existsm     0(No exists) or 1(Exists)    

  This option is set when subnet manager exists on Infiniband Network. The 0 option is usedn when subnet manager does not exist on Infiniband Network(such as point-to-point no switch connection).

  Example:

  existsm 1

• Notation of srqmode option
  

  srqmode     0(off) or 1(on)    

  This option is set when shared receive queue mode (SRQ mode) is used. The shared receive queue is an extension of Infiniband specification that multiple queur pair can be shared recieve buffer queue. This option reduces the amount of receive buffer memory. The SRQ mode is Fujitsu original extension.

  Example:

  srqmode 1

• Notation of ckptmode option
  

  ckptmode     0(off) or 1(on)    

  This option is set when checkpoint restart is used. In this release this option is not supported.

  Example:

  ckoptmode 0

EXAMPLE

This is an example of a PM/Infiniband FJ configuration file. In this example, four hosts: comp0, comp1, comp2 and comp3 are connected.
