sc_syslog journals SCore-D system status and accounting
information of SCore-D users. hostname (and
portno) must be a hostname running
scbcast(8)
(not SCore-D itself), so that sc_syslog can receive journaling
information from it. Thus, one or more sc_syslog processes can be
'attached' to one SCore-D operating system. This feature could be used to
make redundant journal files. If filename is NOT
specified, then the journaling information is output to standard
output. Otherwise sc_syslog becomes a daemon process, and
journal information is output to the specified file. If the file
already exists, then the output is appended.
If sc_syslog is invoked as a daemon process and it receives a
SIGHUP signal, then the output file is reopened.
The options available for sc_syslog:
- hostname[:portno]
-
Specifies the hostname (and port number) to connect with
scbcast(8)

- filename
