SCore 5.6 dose not
have binary compatibility of SCore 5.0.1 or before.
If you want to execute old SCore programs, please recompile them.
Linux Kernel 2.4.21 is supported.
The following distributions are supported:
Red Hat 9 (You may compile the SCore source under the Red Hat 9)
SuSE Linux 8.1 for AMD64 (pre-alpha version: You may compile the SCore source under the SuSE linux for AMD64)
The following PM devices are supported:
Infiniband for Fujtisu HCA (Beta-version)
MPICH 1.2.5 is supported.
rbustest is introduced.
rbustest is enhanced.
Enhanced Network Security
Job freeze (Experimental)
Sun Grid Engine tight integration support (Experimental)
sctop format is changed (PID instead of TCP port number).
RMA bug on PM/myrinet for IA64 is fixed.
pmTruncateBuffer() bug on PM/shmem is dixed.
The cache bug on scoreboard is fixed.
scout bug is fixed.
Checkpoint bug is fixed.
Output redirection bug is fixed.
IA64 portingWe have not tested the following features in an IA64 cluster:
AMD64 portingThis version is a pre-alpha version. We have tested only PMv2 communication library.(PM/Myrinet, PM/Ethernet, PM/Shmem). Use bcm5700 driver instead of tg3 driver for PM/Ethernet.
PM/Infiniband for Fujitsu HCA portingHCA firmware update is needed to use SCore.
The PM/Ethernet network trunking feature has been only tested on up to three Intel EEPRO100 NICs and up to two Syskonnect SK9843 NICs, Intel PRO1000/XT NICs and Broadcom BCM5701 baseed NICs. We already found that the feature does not work using some different NIC cards, e.g., the combination of tulip and 3C05B NICs.
PVM is not fully tested.
PVM does not work in an SMP cluster.
To use rbustest, you must add /opt/score/deploy in PATH variable on compute hosts.
The kernel patch file for IA64 (linux2.4.21_ia64.score.patch) is faild in some files. If you want to run the kernel on SGI SN system, please patch arch/ia64/sn/io/sn2/shub.c by hand. If you want to run on other system, please ignore reject files.
