etherpmctl - attach PM/Ethernet to or detach from Ethernet device
- SYNOPSIS

etherpmctl ethernet-device [option]...
- DESCRIPTION

etherpmctl attaches PM/Ethernet to or detaches from Ethernet devices.
Specify ethernet-device as eth0, eth1,
eth2 etc.
- OPTIONS
-
- -pm [on|off]
-
Specify "on" or "off". When "on" is
specified, a PM/Ethernet device is attached to the Ethernet device
specified by ethernet-device. When "off" is
specified, a PM/Ethernet device is detached from the Ethernet device specified
by ethernet-device.
- -ir [on|off]

Specify "on" or "off". When "on" is
specified, the Interrupt Reaping option on PM/Ethernet is
enabled. The Interrupt Reaping option is effective in reducing round-trip
latency on communication. When "off" is specified, the Interrupt
Reaping option on PM/Ethernet is disabled.
- -unit unit-number

Specify the unit-number on the PM/Ethernet device.
This number must be the same as the unit number that
is specified in the PM-II ETHERNET CONF(5) configuration file.
Default unit number is 0.
- ERRORS

- ethX: unknown interface.

etherpmctl: ERROR on unit 0: "No such device(19)" Check dmesg log!! -
The network device ethX does not exist.
- device: ethX
etherpmctl: ERROR on unit 0: "Link has been severed(67)" Check dmesg log!! -
The network device ethX exists, but the device is not UP.
