Myrinet2000 Switch Configurations

The Easy Installation Tool automatically creates a Myrinet 2000 switch configuration file for PM/Myrinet. Myrinet2000 switches are built from switch enclosures(E16, E32, E64, and E128), Line switch cards(SW16) and SPINE cards(SPINE). In order to build Myrinet2000 or Myrinet XP cluster, after you recongnize your switch hard ware, lease connect the Myrinet network using one of the following allowed connections: If you want to build a cluster of more than 128 compute hosts, please contact us using SCore Users ML.

Myrinet2000 SAN switch:

When you use Myrinet2000 SAN switch, please be sure jumper switch on line switch card: speed setting and HA feature. When you use SCore,the default setting for HA feature must be off.

Myrinet2000 SAN Card:

When you use Myrinet 2000 cards, please be sure trimmer switch on the cards: speed setting.

2 compute hosts to 8 compute hosts

Using one E16, E32, E64 or E128 with one SW16 card:

Configuration file: SPINE-LINE, LINE-LINE and 16

9 compute hosts to 16 compute hosts

Using one SPINE card and one SW16 card with E16 switch enclosures, using two SW16 cards with E16 switch enclosures, or using two SW16 card with E32, E64 or E128 switch enclosures.

Configuration file: 32

17 compute hosts to 32 compute hosts

Using four SW16 card with E32, E64 or E128 switch enclosures.

Configuration file: 64

33 compute hosts to 64 compute hosts

Using eight SW16 card with E64 or E128 switch enclosures.

Configuration file: 128

65 compute hosts to 128 compute hosts

Using sixteen SW16 card with E128 switch enclosures.
