scoutd hostgroup
scoutd
is a daemon process for scout
to
spawn remote processes on cluster hosts. scoutd
only
accpets the request from the previous hosts in the order of specified
hostgroup. Thus scoutd
requires a host group
described the scorehosts.db
file to obtain the previous
host.
Since the very first host in the specified hostgroup is not needed to
run scoutd
, in this case, scoutd
simply
terminates and no daemon process is invoked.
To invoke arbitrary user process, scoutd
must have root
permission.
