DESCRIPTION

Each line of the PM/Agent/UDP configuration file specifies mapping from node number to hostname and IP address.
A single '#' character indicates that the rest of the line is a comment, and to be ignored.

Notation of each line

NodeNumber      Hostname        IP address(optional)

NodeNumber
Node number of PM/Agent/UDP. An integer starting from zero. This number doesn't have to be the same as the node number of this host on another PM network interface.
Hostname
Host name of the host. This name should be exactly the same as the name that the hostname command returns. PM/Agent/UDP itself doesn't depend on this constraint, thus, the pmtest command doesn't detect a problem about this, but upper-level software depends on this.
IP address
This field is optional, and if omitted, the hostname field is used as the IP address.
This field is needed only if the host has multiple network interfaces and the IP address of the hostname is different from the IP address of the preferred interface for PM/Agent/UDP. In this case, you have to specify the IP address of the preferred interface by either numeric value (i.e. nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn) or it's name.

EXAMPLE

This is an example of a PM/Agent/UDP configuration file. In this example, four hosts: comp0, comp1, comp2 and comp3 are connected, and comp2 and comp3 have multiple network interfaces, and the interface which is specified by IP address comp2-giga or comp3-giga are used instead of comp2 or comp3.
