Please don't reboot server.
This bring about an adverse result.

Probadly, there is another process that use PM/ethernet
(e.g. scored, pmtest, user program use SCore...)

Please try
    % scout ps ax
or
    % rsh compute-host1 ps ax
If there is a process using PM device, please kill the process.
If there is scored, please try following command to kill scored for all compute
host in pcc group:
    % kill-all -g pcc scored
