[SCore-users] EIT problem

Dear SCore Users,

i have a big problem with the installation of SCore using the EIT.
i even made a fresh installation of redhat7.3 and configuered the 
appropriate files.
But i still get the message "can not resolve hostname from ip" or "can not 
resolve ip from hostname".

is there anyone who can explain me how to set up the /etc/hosts file and 
the dns and nis server?

i am familiar with using a linux/unix system but administration is in some 
cases kind of hard for me ;-))
