SCore Version 5.8.3 has been tested on Fedora Core 3.

1. To install the SCore software on your cluster,
   1. Obtain the gziped ISO 9660 images (353 MB) which includes SCore i386 binariy rpm and sources.
   2. Issue the following command:

          # gunzip score-5.8.3-fedoracore3.i386.iso.gz
      

   3. Write the image into a CD-R
   4. Prepare an SCore server host in which Fedora Core 1 has been already installed with NO FIREWALL setting.
   5. Mount the CD-R on the CD-ROM drive of the SCore server host
   6. Then issue the following commands in the SCore server host:

          # mount /media/cdrom
          # cd /media/cdrom
          # ./Install
      

   7. See the /opt/score/doc/ directory

   4. Prepare an SCore server host in which Red Hat 7.3 has been already installed with NO FIREWALL setting.
   5. Mount the CD-R on the CD-ROM drive of the SCore server host
   6. Then issue the following commands in the SCore server host:

          # mount /mnt/cdrom
          # cd /mnt/cdrom
          # ./Install

1. If you already use the SCore 5.6.0 or SCore 5.6.0 distributi on with Myrinet XP, please replace the distribution MCP file with the bu g fixed version as follows:
   1. Download lanaixp.interruptbugfix.mcp.
   2. Copy lanaixp.interruptbugfix.mcp to /opt/score/share/lan ai on the server host.
   3. Rewrite /opt/score/etc/scorehosts.db file on server host so that the lanaixp.mcp file name is replaced with the lanaixp.interruptbugfix.mcp file name.
   4. reload scoreboard:
      

                          # /etc/rc.d/init.d/scoreboard reload
                      

2. If you want to compile from the MCP source, please replace s ource as following:
   1. Download myrinetxp.patch and lanaix p.mcp.uu.
   2. Apply myrinetxp.patch.
      

                          # cd /opt/score/score-src
                          # patch -p1 < /opt/score/work/myrinetxp.patch
                      

   3. Replace lanai.mcp.uu

                          # cp /opt/score/work/lanaixp.mcp.uu /opt/score/score-src/SCo
      re/pm2/arch/myrinetxp/mcp.bin
                      

   4. Compile SCore.

SCore Version 5.6.1 has been tested on Red Hat 7.3

1. To install the SCore software on your cluster,
   1. Obtain the gziped ISO 9660 images (602 MB) which includes SCore binariy and source rpms and minimum Linux system rpm files.
   2. Issue the following command:

          # gunzip score-5.6.1-redhat7.3.i386.iso.gz
      

   3. Write the image into a CD-R
   4. Prepare an SCore server host in which Red Hat 7.3 has been already installed with NO FIREWALL setting.
   5. Mount the CD-R on the CD-ROM drive of the SCore server host
   6. Then issue the following commands in the SCore server host:

          # mount /mnt/cdrom
          # cd /mnt/cdrom
          # ./Install
      

   7. See the /opt/score/doc/ directory
2. To upgrade from SCore 5.6.0:
   1. Obtain patch rpm From SCore 5.6.0, please click here.
   2. On all compute hosts, please exec:

      # rpm -Uvh score5.6.0-common* score5.6.0-comp*
      		    

   3. On server host, please exec:

      # rpm -Uvh score5.6.0-common* score5.6.0-mpich* score5.6.0-server* score5.6.0-user*
